KEY DATES

1. We will have Dress Rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday of this week at 3:30. EVERYONE IS TO BE THERE. 

2. The PLAY will be this Friday at 6:30 in the Middle School theater.

3. On Friday, June 6, we will have a TEST on the 1920s and Fascism. Two questions: what were the causes of the Great Depression? What was the nature of Fascism?

The week of May 26

CLASS ONE: play rehearsal--DRESS IN THE AFTERNOON

CLASS TWO: play rehearsal

CLASS THREE: play rehearsal--DRESS IN THE AFTERNOON 

CLASS FOUR: play rehearsal--we will meet briefly after school in the theater and then return for the PLAY at 6:30.  HOMEWORK:  please read sections 96, 97, and 99.

The week of June 2

CLASS ONE: we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: please read the handout on Fascism.

CLASS TWO: we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: outline the two essay questions.

CLASS THREE: we will discuss your outlines. HOMEWORK: please write question one as a take-home question.

THE BIWEEKLY WORK FOR THE WEEKS OF MAY 12 AND 19, 2014

KEY DATES:
 1. On Tuesday, May 13, we will have a rehearsal in the Middle School theater.

2. On Friday, May 23, we will have a TEST on Imperialism and World War1. There will be two questions: 1. How did Imperialism create the conditions where a World War might occur? Cite examples. 2. Why might it be argued that World War I was a Late Modernity War? Cite specific events and people that might lead you to this conclusion.

3. On Tuesday, May 27, we will have a rehearsal in the Middle School theater.

4. On Thursday, May 29, we will have a  DRESS REHEARSAL in the Middle School theater.

5. On Friday, May 30, The European History play.

The week of May 12.

CLASS ONE: we will discuss the second half of chapter 16 on Imperialism. HOMEWORK FOR FRIDAY: please read the Marshall handout and sections 84 and 85 in the chapter of World War I.

CLASS TWO: a study period, I will be on a Field Trip. The Directors of the play can work on loose ends with individual members of the class.

CLASS THREE: we will work on the play during the long period. HOMEWORK: see above.

CLASS FOUR: we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: please read the Craig handout and sections 86-7 in Palmer.

The week of May 19

CLASS ONE: we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: please finish the chapter on World War I.

CLASS TWO:  we will discuss the first essay question:  How did Imperialism create the conditions where a World War might occur? Cite examples.
